The launch event was attended by Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, Union Minister of Communications, and Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani, Union Minister of State for Communications.

24 Speed Post: Responding to Needs of Businesses, Individuals, and E-Commerce Sector

The launch of 24 Speed Post and its related services reflects the Department of Posts’ efforts to strengthen India’s logistics infrastructure while responding to the evolving needs of businesses, individuals, and the rapidly expanding e-commerce sector.

Through these initiatives, the postal network aims to offer more predictable and faster delivery timelines.

The event was simultaneously witnessed across the country through live link arrangements organised by different postal circles.

In Kolkata, the regional programme was conducted at Yogayog Bhawan, where senior officials from the West Bengal Postal Circle and members of the media joined the national event.

The newly introduced logistics offerings — 24 Speed Post, 24 Speed Post Parcel, and 48 Speed Post — are positioned as premium day-definite delivery services designed to ensure timely and reliable movement of parcels and documents.

Under the new framework, 24 Speed Post and 24 Speed Post Parcel will provide next-day delivery services between identified locations, offering customers a faster option for urgent consignments.

Meanwhile, 48 Speed Post will offer a two-day delivery commitment across a wider network, enabling dependable delivery coverage across a larger geographical footprint.

The introduction of 24 and 48 Speed Post services is expected to support individuals, businesses, and e-commerce stakeholders by improving delivery predictability and strengthening logistics efficiency within the national postal network.
